Girls & boys both No. 1 seeds as tourney starts today in Tiger

The RCHS girls and boys basketball teams are the No. 1 seeds in their Class AA region and they will start play today at home in the tournament. With the Ladycats securing the Region 8 top spot, it meant Rabun County would be at Tiger for their games. The games today, Feb.

Tallulah Falls School standout long distance runner Evan Prince on Tuesday afternoon signed his letter of intent with the U.S. Naval Academy. The multi-region champion in cross country and track & field will continue his academic and athletic career for the Midshipmen.

Ranked RCHS hoops ready for postseason

Both Rabun County basketball teams look to finish their region schedules strong Friday evening in the regular-schedule finale at home. Region opponent Banks County comes to Tiger Friday, Feb. 11, to face the Ladycats and Wildcats. The RCHS girls contest will tip off at 6:30 p.m.

Tallulah Falls soccer eases past Rabun County for first wins

GIRLS The first win is in the books for the TFS Lady Indians, who blew past Rabun County in Tuesday’s road match by a 9-1 final. The girls used a 6-0 first half to take full control early. Rabun notched its goal in the second half, but TFS scored three more times to secure the win.
