TFS boys third, girls fifth at region championships

Tallulah Falls competed in Day Two of the Region 8-A DI Championships on April 26. After seeing a pair of athletes claim individual region titles and several earning state sectional bids on Tuesday, the team set out for more history in the final day of the meet.

Eagles baseball soars into final home game of season

Rabun Gap baseball is entering the final week of the season with a 15-4  record. On Wednesday, April 19, the Eagles traveled to Seneca where they won 4-1 thanks to a three-run home run from junior first baseman Argenis Lopez.

The Rabun County high school track and field teams honored their seniors during the final home meet of the season on Wednesday, April 19. The Wildcat teams now traveled to Elbert County on Wednesday, April 26, and also Friday, April 28, for the Region 8 Class A Division I regional championships.

TFS girls tennis advances to Elite Eight, boys fall in Sweet Sixteen

The Tallulah Falls girls tennis team advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history, while the boys team fell 3-0 to Whitefield Academy which ended their undefeated season Oon Monday, April 24.

Rabun County tennis falls in Sweet Sixteen

The Rabun County tennis teams saw their seasons come to a close in the Sweet Sixteen on Monday, April 24. The boys fell against Galloway 3-0, while the girls lost to Mt. Pisgah 3-1.   BOYS The boys finished their season 9-8 overall, going 4-1 in the region.

RCHS’ Carver signs to play beach volleyball at Emmanuel

Rabun County High School senior Abbye Carver signed her intent to play beach volleyball at Emmanuel College on Monday, April 24. Carver is only the fourth Rabun County athlete to play volleyball at the college level, as well as the first to play beach volleyball.

The girls won 3-0 thanks to three victories by their singles players, while the boys went into a tiebreak set in No. 1 doubles to secure the 3-1 victory. The TFS tennis teams are now No. 1 seeds entering the GHSA state playoffs, with the girls taking on Armuchee and the boys hosting Pepperell.

The TFS tennis teams continued the record history, remaining undefeated while cruising to Tuesday, April 11, wins at Rabun County in the Region 8-A DI tournament semifinals. The Lady Indians took a 4-0 win over Commerce, while the Indians earned a 4-1 win over Athens Christian to advance.
