When it was straight zeroes across the time clock in the Macon Coliseum on March 13 evening, April Adcock put the defining pencil marks on a Rabun County boys basketball scorebook for a final time in the 2025-2026 season. This, however, was far from just another season.

The emotions of a championship-winning basketball season has ran on a high throughout almost its entire campaign. It is hard to find lows when you put a new Class A Division I trophy in the school’s trophy case and it is the first one ever for the Rabun County boys basketball program.

Adcock cements status as state’s best 3-point shooter

Rabun County freshman Trace Adcock made it official last week that he is the best 3-point shooter in the state of Georgia. Adcock did so by winning the GHSA boys 3-point contest in Macon during the state championship festivities.

Rabun County senior point guard and Navy commit Huey Blalock has built a lasting basketball legacy in Rabun County. The 5-foot-10 point guard Blalock added the final piece to that legacy on March 13 when the Rabun County boys basketball team won its first-ever state championship.
