TFS varsity swim team dominates ‘Shiver Me Timbers’

In the “Shiver Me Timbers” Invitational hosted by Tallulah Falls School on Saturday, the varsity swim team dominated the opposition. The Indians and Lady Indians both placed first out of eight teams on Jan. 8. “This meet was a prelims/finals meet,” explains coach Rachel Nichols.

Rabun Gap wrestling program celebrated at Jan. 7 home opener

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School celebrated the legacy of its wrestling program during the Eagles home opener on Friday, Jan. 7, at the Andrew Ritchie Gymnasium. The Eagles won 60-16 over Wesleyan Christian School, and beat Southlake Christian 57-24 to sweep the meet.

Lady Indians better their record with 2 more wins

The No. 10-ranked Tallulah Falls School girls basketball team improved its overall record by adding two more victories. The Lady Indians defeated Prince Avenue Christian 76-45 and Loganville Christian 63-8 in the past week.

TFS boys claim victory, take loss to begin 2022 slate

The Tallulah Falls boys basketball team went 1-1 in its recent contests with a 53-47 loss to Prince Avenue Christian and 77-38 win over Loganville Christian. Prince Avenue Christian boys 53; Tallulah Falls 47 The then No. 2-ranked Indians saw their six-game winning streak come to an end in a Jan.

Rabun County hard to beat on hardwood

The Rabun County boys basketball team pushed its record to 12-4 after claiming wins in three of the last four outings. The Wildcats have primarily been led by seniors Connor McKay, Gus Hood, Grayson Carver and sophomore Cooper Welch.

RGNS hoops seek solid start to new year

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee basketball teams completed the 2021 part of their schedules and now prepare the 2022 slate. The RGNS boys defeated Metrolina Christian Academy 67-60 on the road on Dec. 20 and the girls registered a 62-30 victory.

When the Wildcats kick off the 2022 football season, currently no member of the Shaw family is projected to be the head coach of the reigning region championships after 10 years of a Shaw at the helm.
