Community members are invited to the fourth annual First Responders’ Appreciation Dinner in honor and recognition of our Rabun County first responders on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rabun County Civic Center ballroom, 201 W. Savannah Street, Clayton. The doors open at 5 p.m.

After months of talks between the business and the City of Clayton, Moonrise Distillery paid its outstanding excise taxes by deadline established by the city council.The amount of $971.17 was paid by Moonrise Distillery owner Doug Nassaur in full on Wednesday, Aug.
