SKY VALLEY— Sky Valley received a clean bill of health on their 2018 audit that was presented at their city council work session on Tuesday. Joely Mixon from Mixon, Mixon, Brown and Tench Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors presented the audit.

CLAYTON—Fresh off a months-long discussion over the a revised alcohol ordinance, the Clayton City Council on Tuesday began a dialogue on what has become a thorny issue for many communities nationwide—Airbnb and other short-term rental businesses operating in residential neighborhoods.

County passes budget with no tax increase

CLAYTON— The Rabun County Board of Commissioners adopted the county’s Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget at their regular meeting on Tuesday with only a couple members of the public present. Commissioner Scott Crane was not present at the meeting.
