Rabun Gap man charged with homicide by vehicle in July Mountain City crash

A Rabun Gap man is charged in a July 13 fatal crash on Ga. 15 at its intersection with Page Street in Mountain City that killed a Tampa, Fla. man.
Gary Lynn Quilliams, 68 of Rabun Gap, was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on Aug. 6 at 1:01 p.m.

Tallulah Falls School seniors Raegan Duncan and Chesney Tanksley were selected by Habersham Electric Membership Corporation (HEMC) for the summer Washington Youth Tour (WYT).

Grist appointed as new Tiger council member

The Tiger Town Council appointed John Grist as the newest council member during the monthly meeting Tuesday, Aug. 13.
Grist will serve the remainder of the term previously held by the late Jackie Watts, which expires in 2028.
Watts passed away on July 4 after serving on the council since 2020.
