Currahee Brewing Company held a nonprofit night on April 6 and raised $3,075 for Ferst Readers of Rabun County.

New signage is posted and officials say a few more signs and amenities will be added soon. The plan is to have a grand opening at a later time.

GenSol Diagnostics, a local animal genetics testing company, hosted seventh grade science students from Rabun County Middle School for a field trip to learn more about genetics. Forty-two students visited the laboratory on Feb. 14 with their teachers Jacob Bennett and Ryan Backer.

DEMOREST, GA -- Piedmont University Natural Science students have been presenting their research at conferences all over the Southeast. Rhylee Wittrock and Imani Vincent shared their research at Confluence 2023, Georgia Adopt-A-Stream's Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Conference.

The Georgia District Anchor Club received a Helmet Matching Grant from Pilot International for a 2023 Georgia District Anchor Convention project. Through this grant, the Georgia District Anchor Club received 25 high quality helmets to combine with the helmets they purchased.
