RABUN GAP– The Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) saw two new members for the June 14 meeting. Dee Daley, representative for the City of Clayton, and Dr.

CLAYTON– Ellie Vargas has been employed at the Chechero Recycling Center since the beginning of the year and works hard every day to do her best. On June 20, Vargas was pushing trash bags into the compactor when she fell inside with the trash bags. “I was trying to do a good job at work.

Motorists should expect traffic delays on Savannah Street in Clayton beginning Tuesday due to repair of a sewer manhole.  According to Clayton City Officials, work is set to begin Tuesday, June 21 to repair a sewer manhole on Savannah Street in front of Keller Furniture.

Law assumes command of Marine drone squadron

Lt. Col. Nicholas B. Law, grandson of Mary Elizabeth Law of Tiger, has assumed command of Marine Corps Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 3 in Hawaii. Law succeeds Lt. Col. Thomas Farrington as commanding officer of the drone squadron based in Hawaii.

Fairways and Fashions raises $$$ for F.A.I.T.H.

F.A.I.T.H. (Fight Abuse in the Home) hosted their yearly Fairways and Fashions event on May 20 at the beautiful Waterfall Club, overlooking Lake Burton. The fundraising event, featuring a golf tournament and fashion show, is one of the largest events that F.A.I.T.H. hosts each year.
