Security at county educational facilities ramped up for upcoming year

TIGER– Rabun County Schools is ramping up security for the upcoming school year as students head back to the classroom Aug. 5.

Deadline for summer reading submissions Aug. 1

Get your creative juices flowing and win the chance to be published in Foxfire Magazine by submitting to the summer Writing Contest for Kids ages 6-12. The topic is Summer in Rabun County. The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 1.

Safe Kids Rabun hosts Car Seat Safety Check

CLAYTON– Safe Kids Rabun along with Rabun County Sheriff’s Office deputies sponsored a free car and booster safety check for the community at Walmart July 23. Deputies checked seats for expiration, safety recalls, proper fit and proper installation.
