Loggins awarded Support Personnel Scholarship

Erin Rebecca Loggins, a kindergarten paraprofessional at Rabun County Primary School of the Rabun County Public Schools, has been selected to receive the PAGE Support Personnel Scholarship. The scholarship is given each year by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation.

CLAYTON—The Class of 2020 finally had their moment on center stage Saturday, capping off one of the most successful--and unusual—years in the history of Rabun County High School.

Free COVID-19 tests come to Rabun County

CLAYTON—A total of 147 people took advantage of the first free COVID-19 testing offered in Rabun County Tuesday. Georgia Dept. of Public Health District 2 employees joined forces with Rabun County Health Department Staff to administer the drive-thru tests in the Clayton Baptist Church parking lot.

Visitors and locals alike love to visit the numerous waterfalls that bless Rabun and surrounding counties. Although beautiful, waterfalls can be dangerous and result in injury or even death, so it’s important to follow safety guidelines when visiting these sites.

Historical Society to close for renovations

CLAYTON--The Rabun County Historical Society’s museum in downtown Clayton has been closed while undergoing an extensive renovation to accommodate new exhibits, including an important collection of Tallulah Falls Railroad artifacts.The Society expects to reopen the museum in the spring of 2021.

Group to establish Rabun County High Wall of Fame

A group of former Rabun County High School players and coaches is seeking community input to honor outstanding Wildcat athletes of the past in all sports. Called the RCHS Wall of Fame, the group expects to name its first class of honorees this fall.
