Rabun Gap falls in shootout to No. 2 team in Missouri

RABUN GAP – Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football has been in several shootouts up to this point in the season, but perhaps none were as electrifying as Friday’s 59-49 loss to Christian Brothers College from Missouri.

ATHENS – The No. 10 ranked Georgia football team picked up its 16th straight win over Kentucky, 35-14, getting back on track after its previous loss to No. 8 Alabama. The Bulldogs, now 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the SEC, will head to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday, Oct.

Rabun rec runners outpace competition at state

Three Rabun County Wildcat cross country teams claimed state runner-up trophies this past weekend at Lamar Murphy Park in Jefferson at the Georgia Parks Recreation Association (GRPA) state championship meet.

Sports and family are intertwined throughout life. Teams, schools and programs are considered family and relationships between players can reflect that of siblings. Coaches, the leader of the team or “family,” symbolize the role of a mother or father.

It’s another week and another nationally ranked opponent for No. 43 Rabun Gap Nacoochee-School football. This time, the challenger hails from Missouri in No. 203 Christian Brothers College (CB).

RCHS moves to 6-0; gets road win over Providence Christian

LILBURN – In an all-around dominant victory on Friday night, the Rabun County football team improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the region after a 62-21 win over Providence Christian Academy (PCA).

Rabun Gap volleyball’s ‘goldfish mentality’ powering regular-season success

Tallulah Falls well-represented in All-Region honors

Tallulah Falls was well-represented with the announcement of the All-Region selections for volleyball. Four Lady Indians earned the honors, while coach Matt Heyl was named Coach of the Year.
