Rabun Gap greets island visitors to mountains and lopsided win

The fourth quarter of the football season has arrived for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee as the Eagles will begin the postseason with a home contest against the Christ School on Thursday, Nov. 6.

UGA comes from once behind again, defeating Florida

As if the Georgia football team needed to cause more potential heart attacks for its fans, the Bulldogs pulled off yet another fourth-quarter comeback win on Saturday against Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

Rec girls team looks to spike foes at Jackson County

Rabun County Recreation Department’s 12U Girls All-Star team heads to the GRPA State Tournament in Jackson County at the Empower College and Career Center on Nov. 14 and 15. The team participated in the GRPA District Tournament held in Habersham County on Oct. 28 through Nov. 1.

RCHS teams compete at Sectional

The Rabun County girls cross country team is state-bound after a strong showing at sectionals. The Lady Cat team earned its spot at the state meet in Carrollton this coming Saturday, Nov. 8, after finishing sixth overall at the sectional meet held at Jeff Davis High School last weekend.

RCHS boys hoops with highest ever preseason ranking ahead of season

Coming off of its third region championship and fourth straight Sweet 16 appearance, the expectations are as high as ever for Rabun County boys basketball, on the cusp of a new season. Rabun County, which went 23-6 last year before falling in the Sweet 16 to eventual state champions B.E.S.

RGNS girls basketball back with fresh faces, younger roster

Fresh off of yet another Final Four appearance last season, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School girls basketball is looking to make its mark again.

Rabun County seeks potential No. 2 finish in region vs. Elbert

s, Rabun County football is looking to get back on track this Friday, Oct. 31, versus Elbert County in its regular-season finale. The game, which will be played in the famous “Granite Bowl” will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

Eagles host team from Puerto Rico on ‘Senior Night’

If Rabun Gap-Nachoochee School’s football schedule has not made it clear already, the Eagles will play anybody at any time or any place. Even teams from outside of the continental U.S. On Friday, Oct. 31, the No. 84 nationally ranked Eagles will host Legacy Sports Puerto Rico.
