RCHS girls victorious on ‘Senior Night’ over Towns

TIGER – The Rabun County girls basketball teams capped off their senior night tradition and festivities with a dominant 70-16 win over visiting Towns County. The win improved the Lady Wildcats’ record to 5-1 and marked their second win this season over the Lady Indians.

Wildcat wrestling makes season debut at home

TIGER – The Rabun County wrestling team made its home debut last week on Wednesday, Dec. 10, in a meet that consisted of matches against Hayesville High School (N.C.) and Habersham Central.

TFS Indians win third straight; Lady Indians nearly topple No. 2-ranked Walhalla

The Indians ran their win streak up to three in a row with a 62-51 home win Tuesday against out-of-state opponents, Walhalla. TFS (7-4), ranked No. 2 in GIAA, held a 30-21 advantage on Dec. 16 at the half before replicating those results in the second half.

Stockton MVP in SEC Championship domination of ‘Bama

After an all-around supremacy over No. 10 Alabama on Saturday in the SEC Championship, former Rabun County and current starting quarterback for No. 3-ranked Georgia, Gunner Stockton, is now a two-time SEC champion.

RABUN GAP – In what was a back-and-forth contest all night, Rabun Gap boys basketball turned to senior captain RJ Lacossade, who delivered with the game on the line, leading to a 55-53 win for the Eagles.

RGNS’ Bryson takes late commitment to Wake Forest

Just three days before signing day, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football senior Walker Bryson announced his verbal commitment to Wake Forest. On signing day, Bryson made his verbal announcement official by putting pen to paper and signing with the Demon Deacons.
