RCHS basketball holds week-long hoops camp at rec

Fresh off a Class AA state runner-up season, Rabun County High School girls head coach Dee Dee Dillard, assistant coach Mackenzie Darrah and 16 Ladycats hosted a basketball camp during the week of May 16 at the county recreation department.

Rabun Gap’s Moores drafted to Ontario Junior Lacrosse League

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School sophomore Jack Moores has been drafted into the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL). Moores was selected 22nd overall by the St. Catharines Athletics. The Ontario Junior Lacrosse League is the top junior box lacrosse league in Ontario.

Eagles defeat Carmel Christian to advance to Final Four

Wednesday, May 11 It was a successful day for the Eagles as they came away with two conference champions. Calea Jackson placed first place in the shot put and discus. Peter Pedall placed first in the 400-meter race. The Eagles finished the meet with a few runners who produced high point scores.

Wildcat track sets personal records, earns medals

The May 12-14 Class AA state track meet in Columbus had Rabun County boys and girls student-athletes notch personal records and earn medals. “Needless to say, this past weekend we saw the best of the best at the state championships,” said C.J. Stockel, the RCHS boys track coach.

Hood opens new basketball opportunity

The Rabun County Wildcat basketball program has made noticeable strides over the past four years – both in its number of wins and quality of play on the floor.
