RCHS track seeks state superiority

Eleven individuals and three relay teams will represent the boys and girls Rabun County track teams this week at the GHSA state meet in Columbus after the RCHS student-athletes outpaced competitors at the May 7 Class AA sectionals in Pace Academy’s Riverview Stadium.

Pace Academy ends Ladycats’ tennis season at Final Four

The Rabun County girls tennis team’s history-making run came to an end May 5 on the blue courts of Pace Academy in the Class AA state tournament Final Four. The 4-0 loss for the Ladycats in Atlanta was their tennis program’s first-ever appearance in the GHSA semifinals.

Wildcat golfers to strike irons while they’re hot at state tourney

The Wildcat golf team can be in contention for a Class AA state golf championship on May 16-17 if the team members are able to reduce their miscues. “We need to do a better job in the state tournament of minimizing our mistakes,” said David Adcock, the Rabun County golf coach.

Ladycat tennis is elite. For the first time in the modern era of high school tennis, Rabun County’s girls tennis team has advanced to the state Elite Eight with its 3-1 home-court victory over Bacon County Monday.
