Rabun County boys hoops earn victory over Trion

The Rabun County Wildcat basketball team escaped with a 54-42 victory over Trion at home in the first round of the GHSA state playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Lady Cats extinguish Pepperell Dragons

The Rabun County Lady Cats won the first round of the GHSA state playoffs at home on Tuesday, Feb. 21, with a 74-37 victory over Pepperell. On top of the victory, the Lady Cats were able to celebrate junior Lucy Hood as she hit 1,000 career points on two free throws in the fourth quarter.

Tallulah Falls starts baseball season 2-1

The Tallulah Falls 2023 baseball roster looks vastly different from last season’s 12-13 group. Coach Justin Pollock returns just two starters, including senior and three-year starter Frankie Moree.

Rabun Gap smacks four homers in season opener

After a 2022 season that saw the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee varsity baseball team make it to the Final Four, the Eagles are preparing for another run into the playoffs. The Eagles got off on the right foot with a 12-2 victory over Tallulah Falls on Saturday, Feb. 18, to start the season off.

Diamond Wildcats begin 2023 at 2-1

The Rabun County High School baseball team is now three games into the season after losing to East Jackson in extra innings on Wednesday, Feb. 15, before defeating East Hall 5-4 on Monday, Feb. 20. The Wildcats defeated Johnson 18-3 on Tuesday, Feb. 21 for their second win of the year.

Eagles fall in state quarterfinals

On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee boys basketball team suffered a 49-45 loss in the NCISAA quarterfinals, falling to Providence Day School. The Eagles led after the first quarter with a 13-8 lead, with senior Theo Antinori scoring all 13, including a four-point play.

Rabun County tennis nets wins to start season

The Rabun County tennis teams are looking to build off a spring season which saw the Lady Cats team make school history. The Lady Cats made it to the GHSA Final Four for the first time in school history, on top of winning the region title.

RCHS girls, boys fall in region title games

Rabun County basketball faced off against Tallulah Falls in the first round of the Class A Division I Region 8 playoffs, with both Rabun County teams securing a spot in the region championship game.   Girls The RCHS Lady Cats got out to a hot start with an 18-7 lead after the first quarter.
