TFS girls soccer aims higher after record-breaking year

The Lady Indians are fresh off an 11-win season in which the team qualified for the state playoffs for a second straight year. This marks year number three in GHSA, and TFS is hoping the trend will continue.

Lady Cats on 10-game winning streak with ‘W’ over state champs Elbert

Three games into region play, the Rabun County Lady Cats are undefeated, including a state championship rematch against region rival Elbert County on Friday, Jan. 20. With a 60-24 victory over Commerce on Tuesday, Jan. 10, the Lady Cats started off region play right.

Lady Eagles win eighth straight

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee girls basketball team is now on a eight-game winning streak after defeating Asheville Christian Academy and Baylor on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20-21. The last game the girls lost was Dec. 20 during the Cherokee Invitational. “Last night against Asheville was tough.

Goodwyn helps propel RCHS boys basketball to 3-0 week

The Rabun County Wildcats are 2-1 in region games, losing on a last-second three against Commerce before winning against Athens Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 17. The Wildcats then defeated Elbert County on Friday, Jan. 20, before beating Jefferson to enter a three-game winning streak.

Rabun Gap wrestling soars toward state tourney

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee varsity wrestling team is approaching the end of the season as they look to build off a year that saw six state placers, including Clay Unruh who won the 132 state title. The Eagles started the season at the Panther Scramble, with three placers.

Over the weekend, on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 13-14, Tallulah Falls School honored their 2022 Hall of Honor inductees as well as the first team in school history to win a state title.

TFS Indians begin region play; girls split while boys go 2-0

The Tallulah Falls basketball teams have begun their 2023 portion of the season, with the boys winning both region games on their way to winning six of their last seven matches. The Lady Indians have lost three of their last four on their way to a 5-11 record, splitting their two region games.
