Indians basketball starts season 5-1

No. 6-ranked Tallulah Falls took a 50-47 win last Thursday night at Prince Avenue Christian in what was a rematch from last season’s region championship game. Just like last year’s overtime game, this one once again came down to the wire.

Gibson catching fire

For most people, breaking one state record would be a spectacular career. Rabun County High School senior wide receiver Jaden Gibson broke three this season, including one of the longest-standing state records in Georgia high school football history.

The Rabun County High School Wildcats’ season came to a close as they fell 35-10 to Swainsboro on Friday, Nov. 25, in the Georgia High School Association Quarterfinals.

UGA’s Ice Dawgs return for final home games of season

ATHENS, Ga. – The UGA Ice Dawgs are back and will return for their final set of indoor games at Akins Ford Arena at The Classic Center this December. Don’t miss Athens’s favorite hockey team as they hit the ice against the Kennesaw State University Owls on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Wild animal rules approved; DNR details grace period

SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga.  – Citing threats from non-native species, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources has expanded limits on animals that can be bought, sold or kept as pets in the state.

Hanna scores 30 as TFS falls in tourney final

Playing Saturday, Nov. 19, in the first game of the Jefferson Thanksgiving Tournament, No. 7-ranked Tallulah Falls rode the scoring of Anfernee Hanna to a 61-39 victory. Hanna’s game-high 30 points secured the win for the Indians.

Social Circle can’t handle RCHS mountain brand of high society

The Rabun County High School defense has been stellar all year but one thing the defense had not done yet this season was post a shutout.

Senior Lightbourne hits 1,000 points as Tallulah Falls wins first game of season

The Lady Indians outscored Denmark in every quarter on the way to a 51-36 win in the Jefferson Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday. In the process, senior Denika Lightbourne had a historic outing highlighted by her 1,000th career points and setting three school records.
