Lady Indians volleyball heads to championship

Tallulah Falls’s dream postseason is a reality, as TFS secured a state championship game appearance with a stellar 3-1 win over No. 1-ranked Mt. Pisgah at home on Oct. 29. TFS will take on Mt. Bethel on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m.

TFS fourth-place harriers heading to state

The Tallulah Falls boys and girls cross country teams both placed fourth at the Class A Division I Region 8 meet on Oct. 27 to send the runners into the state championships. The Lady Indians and Indians will travel to Carrollton for the state title run on Friday, Nov.

Wildcat X-country teams third at region

Both Rabun County cross country teams placed third in the Region 8 meet, sending them both to the Class A Division I state championship on Friday, Nov. 4 in Carrollton. The Lady Cats finished with 67 points, while the boys finished with 101 points.

This time’s for nine

For the ninth straight year, the Rabun County Wildcats are region champions. The previous eight region titles were with the Wildcats in Class AA Region 8 with RCHS winning the Class A Division I Region 8 title in their first year in the classification.

State soccer title repeat for Eagles

For the second straight year, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee varsity soccer team is the North Carolina 4A state champions. On their way to an 18-2-2 record, the Eagles went undefeated in region play and once again took down No.

Eagles soar into championship game; look for title repeat

For the fourth straight year, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee varsity soccer team is heading to the State championship game. The Eagles defeated Covenant Day School 2-1 in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association quarterfinals, setting up a rematch from earlier in the season against No.

Season preview: TFS swimming looks to make a splash after historic season

It may not be easy to top what TFS swim accomplished last season, but there’s no doubt the ripple effects of a historic 2021-22 season will impact what happens this year in the pool.

Undefeated Rabun Gap golf plays for state title

As we near November, most of the fall sports have wrapped up with RGNS soccer and golf and RCHS cross country still competing.

TFS volleyball enters Elite Eight

The No. 5-ranked Lady Indians won in convincing fashion over visiting Athens Christian on Thursday evening in the region semifinals, securing a spot in the title match to be held Saturday. TFS won 3-0 by identical set scores.
