Wildcats stifle Athens Christian 52-7

The Rabun County varsity football team crushed Athens Christian 52-7 for the Homecoming game victory. The Wildcats now face off against Commerce for the final regular-season game on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 pm. Commerce is 6-3 after falling to 8-1 Elbert County 41-21.

Rabun Gap volleyball bids farewell to seniors

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee volleyball team returned home on Wednesday night to a raucous crowd after a nine match road trip. Wednesday night against Franklin was also senior night with the Eagles honoring Calea Jackson, Cheney Moriarty and Claren Spivey after the game.

RGNS soccer returns home, earns No. 2 seed in playoffs

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee soccer team won their last two home games of the regular season, cruising to a 15-2-2 record on their way to the No. 2 seed in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association playoffs.
The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles are undefeated in league play, with a big matchup against Providence Day on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 pm for Homecoming.

Eagles defeat Charlotte Latin; takes on Providence this week

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee football team came from behind to defeat Charlotte Latin 42-28 to remain undefeated in league play. The 6-2 Eagles earned 252 yards on the ground with senior Yunus Altincinar and junior Trey Horne combining for 193 yards.

Gibson’s record-breaking night

In the first region game of the season, the No. 3-ranked Rabun County Wildcats defeated Elbert County 41-21 as senior wide receiver Jaden Gibson broke two records with one catch.

RGNS middle school volleyball becomes tri-state champions

Friday, Oct. 7 was a big day for the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School Middle School volleyball team as they competed in the Tri-State Championship. Summit Charter and Highlands came to Rabun Gap’s campus to compete in the championship.

RGNS soccer soars toward playoffs

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee varsity soccer team is 11-2-2 with only four games remaining in the regular season. Since their last home game on Sept. 13 where they won 6-1 against Asheville Christian Academy, the Eagles have scored six or more goals in each game.

Tallulah Falls earns top seed in region tourney

The Lady Indians, currently ranked 5 in Class 1A DI, made quick work of both opponents in the first TFS home match since Sept. 12. The result was a pair of 2-0 wins to secure the top spot atop the region heading into next week’s 8-A DI tournament.

Hanifan-Wagner shatters state record by 21 seconds

A new state champion resides in Rabun County. After an undefeated season, Kai Hanifan-Wagner took first place at the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association state championships, crushing the state record by 21 seconds. Hanifan-Wagner’s time was 8:04.
