Eagles hoops soar to 2-0 start

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee school boys basketball team won their scrimmage 51-40 against Marietta last Wednesday night. The starting lineup for the Eagles consisted of seniors Paulis Matulionis, Theo Antinori, Domas Kauzonas and junior Devin Brafford.

TFS basketball splits season opener

VARSITY BOYS The Indians won a low-scoring contest against Mt. Paran on Nov. 12 in a rematch of last season’s season opener. No. 8-ranked Tallulah Falls won 47-40 at home. Anfernee Hanna guided TFS with 13 points, but was joined in double figures by Lincoln Hall (12) and Vlad Popescu (11).

RCHS Lady Cats cruise to scrimmage win

The Rabun County High School girls basketball team won their scrimmage against Seneca 63-33 thanks to a suffocating defense that has become the staple of Lady Cat basketball. The Lady Cats shut out Seneca in the first quarter, going up 14-0.

TFS swim meets state cuts

The Tallulah Falls swim teams were in action for their third meet of the season last Saturday, hosting several programs in the Hawaiian Luau Invitational. The varsity and middle school teams had a great showing.

RCHS boys fall to Seneca 63-57

The Rabun County High School boys basketball team lost their scrimmage against Seneca 63-57 on Thursday night. The game was a physical one with fouls back and forth.

Lady Eagles win scrimmage and first game

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School girls basketball team won their scrimmage against Marietta on Wednesday night. The Eagles won the first quarter 16-7 and never looked back, using a flurry of steals into layups in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

TFS swimmers set personal records in first two invitationals of ‘22-’23 season

The TFS swim teams got off to a great start for 2022-23 with the annual Mask-Erade Invitational held in the TFS Natatorium. Both varsity teams and MS teams won against their opponents, and Madison Dampier had two individual GHSA state meet cuts, and two relays earned cuts as well.
TFS Athletics. The record breaking season for the Lady Indians ended with a state title. For the first time in school history, Tallulah Falls won a state championship. The Lady Indians volleyball team went 35-11 overall and won their last 10 matches to bring home the title.

Eagles crush Concord; advance to gridiron semis

After cruising past the 8-2 Concord Cougars 45-14, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team is advancing to the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Semifinals. The Eagles will take on Charlotte Christian School on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m.
