Family, friends, neighbors, members of Grace Bible Church, construction crew and Rabun County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors welcomed Becky and Ayla into their new home.

Synergy of Forward Rabun helps community thrive

Rabun County is a hub for tourism with its picturesque backdrop of the North Georgia Mountains, amazing waterfalls, recreational trails and three state parks. Not to mention the many options for shopping and dining.

TFS board member creates quilt for Ukrainian student

Area Georgia State Park and Historic Site managers receive accolades

Several Georgia State Park and Historic Site employees were honored recently during their annual Managers Conference held in north Georgia. Site managers attended an awards ceremony celebrating those who make more than 60 State Parks and Historic Sites outstanding destinations across Georgia.

Patterson wins pageant to become new Miss RCHS on night with Miss Georgia as a judge

Rainny Marie Patterson added to her collection of crowns on Nov. 12 as the newest Miss Rabun County High School on a night as one of the four out-of-town judges was the reigning Miss Georgia.

Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner honors those who bravely served

We in the United States are truly blessed to have brave men and women who serve in the military so we can have the freedoms we enjoy every day. And it’s important to express gratitude and appreciation to all of those who have fought for our great nation.

U.S. Army teaches DeFoor life lessons

Brave men and women join the United States Armed Forces to serve their country and fight for the freedoms we have today. Rabun County is home to many of those veterans. Army Veteran Roy DeFoor said he is proud to have served in the military and learned a lot about life from the experience.

Vet to Vet Café brings veterans together

Having a network to make connections and share stories with people who have similar experiences is a very important part of the human experience. And it is especially important for veterans who have bravely served in the U.S.
