President’s Advisory Council meets at TFS

The President’s Advisory Council members met on Oct. 4 in a quarterly gathering at Tallulah Falls School. President and Head of School Dr. Larry A. Peevy recruits members to serve in a volunteer capacity to provide feedback from a parental perspective.

Touchdown in Rabun for Walker

It was a touchdown in Rabun County for Herschel Walker as he passed through Dillard Oct. 26 as part of his campaign for U.S. Senate. Accompanying him were South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Morgan Ortagus, and Lt. Col. Michael Steele.

Commission postpones second reading, vote

What was slated to be a vote by Rabun County Commissioners on the fate of the second reading of amendments to the Short-Term Rental Ordinance Tuesday turned out to be a postponement to a yet to be determined later date.

RABUN GAP-- No injuries were reported in a Rabun Gap structure fire. Rabun County Fire Services responded to a report of a structure fire at 7271 Wolffork Road in Rabun Gap on Oct. 19. Stations 1, 5 and 12 were dispatched to the fire at 8:32 a.m.
