Walker, Warnock headed to Round 2

Months of campaigning by the incumbent and his challenger will continue into December after neither Rev. Raphael Warnock nor Herschel Walker garnered 50 percent plus one vote to win the U.S. Senate race Tuesday to represent Georgia.

Kemp re-elected governor for Georgia

Once again Brian Kemp defeated challenger Stacey Abrams to be the governor of Georgia on Tuesday. Four years ago, incumbent Republican Kemp outdistanced Democrat Abrams by 50,000 votes. In his re-election bid Tuesday, Kemp had a larger margin of victory at 298,000-plus votes.

Habersham sheriff battles office leaks, victim’s son

Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell is fighting a two-front war as the investigation of Deborrah Collier’s death enters its ninth week. One on hand, he is trying to plug leaks in his office that have been disseminating unofficial information to specific media outlets.
