Democrats hold meet-and-greet with state senate candidate Williams

CLAYTON– The Rabun County Democrats campaigned and chatted with community members at the Rock House in Clayton Friday, Oct. 14, for a meet-and-greet event. Paulette Williams, Democratic candidate for Georgia State Senate 50 was at the event and met with visitors and citizens in Rabun County.

CLAYTON– A 17-year-old Cairo, Ga., juvenile was not injured after striking a utility power pole in a single-vehicle crash on Hiawassee Street in Clayton Oct. 14.

GICH committee members meet about affordable housing in Rabun County

In 2021, under the umbrella of Forward Rabun, Habitat for Humanity of Rabun County (Habitat) and Fight Abuse in the Home (FAITH) applied for assistance from the state program Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH, pronounced GICK).

Stamping out postal thefts

SKY VALLEY– Two suspects have been identified and arrested in Florida in connection with the local investigation of the break-in at the Sky Valley U.S. Postal Service mail center on Sky Valley Way at the end of September.
