Voting begins for November’s General Election

The Clayton Police Department wanted to do something different to get more Christmas toy donations for underprivileged children this year, and the plan worked despite the Saturday show getting approved by the city council only four weeks before the event.

Tax hike approved by Tallulah Falls

The Town of Tallulah Falls Council unanimously agreed on Oct. 9 to increase its 2025 property taxes after considering residents’ comments during three mandated public hearings about the tax hike. The bump in taxes will levy this year by 2.

For four-plus decades, clerk helps guide Dillard

A mountain of change has occurred in Dillard from her first day on the job until Tuesday, Oct. 14, the final council meeting in an illustrious 45-year career as city clerk for Glenda Enloe. When Enloe began her tenured role over four decades ago, Dillard had never had a city clerk.

CLAYTON – Of These Mountains will celebrate the Fifth Annual Of These Mountains Fall MarketPlace in  Clayton on Saturday, Nov. 1. The event will be held at the Rabun County Pavilions in Downtown Clayton and will feature over 100 vendors from throughout the southeast.

Septic-to-sewer system switch scrutinized
