Qualifying for local offices in the cities of Clayton, Mountain City, Dillard, Sky Valley and Tallulah Falls continues through this week as some already have submitted paperwork. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Road work until Halloween 2027

The four-laning of Highway 441 has created challenges for motorists – both local and visitors – and more of those driving delays will be part of this construction journey that is projected to continue until Halloween 2027.

Help name mascot for a Place of Hope

Local nonprofit Place of Hope (POH) North Georgia’s primary focus is to support and care for children entering and living in the foster care system in our area. There are many ways the community can support the faith-based organization including donating and volunteering.

Sky Valley POA honors Purple Heart recipients in special ceremony

The Sky Valley Property Owners Association (POA) honored Purple Heart Day during its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Sky Valley Country Club. The special event paid tribute to those wounded or killed in combat while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
