Cat Gap Bridge closure advisory

The bridge on Cat Gap Rd. in Rabun County will be closed for approximately 120 days for the construction of a new bridge, according to a statement from Scott Provance, Rabun County road director. He said 911 numbers zero-1168 will be accessed from Plum Orchard Rd.

CLAYTON– Georgia Mountain Psychological Associates held a Mental Health March and Candlelight Service to remember those who have lost their lives to mental illness on Feb. 22. The marchers walked over to The Rock House on Main Street for a service that turned out a crowd of people.

Hearing for Clayton development rescheduled for March

The zoning hearing for the 37 Bynum Street/Holden Street has been rescheduled for Monday, March 21.  The hearing for the development originally planned for Feb. 28 has been rescheduled as a city of Clayton Planning and Zoning Committee meeting on Monday, March 21 at 9 a.m.

Trash pickup continued for city residents

Trash pickup will continue for Clayton City residents.  "Central Waste will continue picking up household garbage for two weeks inside the city limits. We hope to have everything in order soon," according to a statement from Clayton city officials.
