A four-vehicle crash involving a Rabun County school bus in Clayton Monday morning resulted in no injuries. A Clayton man is charged with DUI as a result of the crash.

Children's dental clinic at health department open

The children’s dental clinic at the Rabun County Health Department is back open after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Tom Callahan is passing the reins to Dr. Brian Davis as the dentist for the clinic. Callahan and Davis said that they are excited for the clinic to be back open.

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed the Omicron variant in an unvaccinated metro Atlanta resident with no recent international travel history. The individual has mild COVID symptoms and is isolating at home.

DILLARD– Dillard city officials bid Mayor Bill Robinson farewell after serving 20 years as mayor. Council Member Claude Dillard will take office as the new mayor in January. Robinson was presented with a plaque to honor his service to the city, at a reception following Tuesday’s council meeting.
