Driver sustains burns in vehicle fire

CLAYTON-- A Clayton man was airlifted after sustaining burns in a vehicle fire in Clayton Monday night. Rabun County Fire Services Station 1 was dispatched to a report of a possible vehicle fire in the vicinity of 173 Payne Hill Dr. in Clayton at approximately 11:45 p.m.

Rabun firefighter suffers medical emergency while fighting brush fire

A Rabun County firefighter suffered a medical emergency while fighting a brush fire in Lakemont Friday evening. Firefighter Gordon Van Mol went into cardiac arrest while on scene after Rabun County Fire Services Station 4 responded to a brush fire on Burns Lane in Lakemont at 7:35 p.m.

Rabun County’s Trombley rewarded for her good citizenship through quilting

An investigation by law enforcement officials of multiple agencies Nov. 18 into trafficking methamphetamine over North Georgia counties resulted in four arrests -- two of whom are from Rabun County.

Clayton nonprofits taking part in upcoming GAgives

North Georgia Community Players to hold two weekends of holiday performances

COVID-19 did not give people a reason to dance, sing or watch a theatrical performance. But the North Georgia Community Players have returned. The 20-year organization will present a production in Dillard on Dec. 3, 4 and 5 and Dec. 10, 11 and 12.
