Rabun County commissioners, Clayton council approve SDS

A resolution has been reached in the years-long dispute between the city of Clayton and the Rabun County Government regarding the Service Delivery Strategy (SDS).

Clayton council approves 10 percent employee raises

CLAYTON– Clayton City Council members voted Tuesday to approve 10 percent more in pay for all full-time employees as a cost of living increase. The unanimous decision came after council members went into closed session to discuss personnel and litigation, following the regular council meeting.

Georgia Power to hold vegetation cleanup in Dillard Monday

DILLARD– Georgia Power Forestry and Right of Way contractors will conduct vegetation maintenance along the rights of way in Dillard beginning Feb. 21. In an effort to improve reliability, a helicopter will be employed to prune certain portions of the rights of way.

Development authority discusses bringing business to Rabun County

Dillard man identified after being airlifted for burns

A Dillard man was transported by Air Life helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital after sustaining burns while attempting to stomp out a hay bale fire Feb. 8. The man was identified as William Morris, 79, according to Rabun County Emergency Medical Services.
