Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest officially terminates burn ban order

The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has officially terminated the burn ban order that was instated March 27. The ban was implemented in response to heightened fire danger regarding the wildfire in the Warwoman Wildlife Management Area.

Tallulah Falls School hosted the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) re-accreditation committee. They met with parents, students, alumni, faculty, and staff to formulate plans for the school’s success for the next five years.

(Walhalla, SC)-- The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and Oconee County Emergency Services are reporting two missing hikers were located the afternoon of Sunday, April 6. Carrell Wayne Fowler, 77, and Sharon Kay Bramlett, 68, were located on April 6 around 12:30 p.m.
