Quick thinking keeps blaze for spreading

The combination of thinking and acting fast by a Rabun County Sheriff’s Office deputy and other law enforcement saved the life of a Clayton resident from a fire that could have spread.

Story sworn in to Rabun County School Board

Rabun County Chamber of Commerce President Rick Story was sworn in as the newest member of the Rabun County Board of Education on Tuesday, May 7, by Rabun County Probate Court Judge Hobie Jones. Story, who was appointed to the position by the BOE, will fulfill the unexpired term of Molly Lima.

Three candidates address law enforcement questions

The Rabun County candidates for sheriff met in a forum Monday evening at The Dillard House as the three commented on a variety of subjects. The event was hosted by the Rabun County Republican Party and The Clayton Tribune. The forum was moderated by Enoch Autry, publisher of The Clayton Tribune.
