The mission of Foxfire is to preserve Appalachia and Appalachian Heritage and upcoming Heritage Skills Classes allow those interested to learn the skills of our ancestors and keep those traditions alive for generations to come.

Dillard hosts return visit of BIG conference

For two days, believers, skeptics and those who just wanted to know more about the iconic hairy giant gathered for the seventh Georgia Bigfoot Conference at The Dillard House as in excess of 300 convened in the North Georgia mountains, known for its high level of activity for Sasquatch sightings.

Mountain Ivy Garden Club celebrates 30 years with A Garden Symposium

It’s officially Spring and Mountain Ivy Garden Club kicked off the season with “Prelude to Spring: A Garden Symposium” on March 19 celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Mountain Ivy Garden Club. Bess Green, chairman of the organizing committee for the event, said it was “an overwhelming success.
