Happy Helpings, Georgia’s Summer Food Service program, now ready to kickoff in Rabun County

CLAYTON- The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning’s (DECAL) Nutrition Services Division announced that it is partnering with Rabun County Family Connection to kickoff the summer meals season. The kick-off event will be held on Tuesday, June 13, at the Rabun County Public Library.

Worker airlifted after Highway 197 crash

A Windstream worker was airlifted after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 197 near Verner Kastner Lane in Rabun County May 30. A white 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by Matthew Wood, 44 of Tiger, Ga., was traveling south on Ga. 197.

All praise went to Jesus Christ during the second annual North Georgia Sing Gospel Music Concert in Clayton June 2 and 3. The Christian concert was held at the Rabun County Civic Center with performances by several Christian artists.
