City of Clayton plants tree for Arbor Day

Officials from the city of Clayton work together to plant a Baldcypress tree near the covered bridge at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia in Clayton Friday, April 28 for Arbor Day. The tree is native to the area and is a great habitat for wildlife. It can grow 60-80 ft.

State Sen. Bo Hatchett was recognized as the “Legislator of the Year” for the 14-county-wide Republican Party 9th Congressional District at the party’s annual banquet and awards ceremony recently. The 9th Congressional District Convention was held April 14 in Flowery Branch, Ga.
