Christmas parade in Clayton this Saturday

A projected 1,000-plus spectators will line Main Street in Clayton on Saturday, Dec. 3, as the “12 Days of Christmas”-themed annual parade formally ushers in the yuletide season. The parade will begin at 2 p.m.

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners received a grade of “A” on the 2022 annual audit presented by Clay Pilgrim, with the firm Rushton Certified Public Accountants out of Gainesville, Ga., at Tuesday's commission meeting.

Darrah sworn in as new Sky Valley City Council member

SKY VALLEY– Newly elected Tim Darrah was sworn-in as a Sky Valley City Council member during a special called meeting Tuesday. Darrah was sworn-in by Council President Bill Oliver. Darrah ran against candidate Susie Piontkowski in Sky Valley’s special election held Nov. 8.
