Donors major factor in Victory Home getting a garden tractor

“Here it comes!” the excited group called out as they stood watching the new Kubota tractor and implements come rolling into the driveway of Victory Home. This tractor’s purchase and arrival at Victory Home was the culmination of a one-month fundraiser led by St. James Episcopal Church in Clayton.

Fire destroys three-story Lake Rabun home

A three-story, approximately 12,000 square-foot structure on Lake Rabun was a total loss following a fire on Monday evening at 989 Mathis Dam Rd. The firefighting effort led to five firefighters having to be treated by EMS for heat exhaustion and dehydration, but none were transported.

Students receive Lake Rabun Foundation scholarships

Lake Rabun Foundation Scholarship Program recipients were honored at the Lake Rabun Association annual Memorial Day meeting on Sunday. Students were introduced to membership and acknowledged at the Lake Rabun Pavilion.

Library summer reading begins with a SPLASH!

With the school year coming to an end the Rabun County Public Library is gearing up to kick off its Summer Reading Program (SRP) for 2022 centered on the theme “Oceans of Possibilities.” The SRP will be held from Wednesday, June 1, and ending Thursday, July 14.
