Robert Alan “Papa” Webb, age 55 of Clayton, entered his heavenly rest on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Anne Webb, sisters, Vicki Adkins and Kelly Wooten.

James Joseph O’Neil passed away peacefully at a long-term care facility in Augusta on Nov. 13, 2021, after a long battle with diabetes. Born in Massachusetts on Jan. 29, 1971, James was a Desert Storm veteran and a lifetime member of VFW Post 4570 here in Rabun County.

Lois Jean Holbert, 89, of Clayton, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at Mountain View Health Care in Clayton. Born in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lee Combs and Symmath Combs. She spent most of her life in Ohio.

Judith Ann Gesell

Judith Ann Gesell, 79 of Tiger, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, on July 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William Armstrong and Mildred Edisll. She was a housewife and was of the Lutheran Faith.

Sherry Lane Bickerstaff

Sherry Lane Bickerstaff, 78 of Peachtree Corners, passed away on Oct. 27, 2021, of natural causes. Sherry was born on June 30, 1943, in Elaine, Arkansas, to the late Mary Francis Clay Bickerstaff and Burt McCoy Bickerstaff. Her father was a career Air Force officer.

Ronald Edward Sherrill

Ronald Edward Sherrill, 71 of Clayton, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at his home on Muscadine Lane. Born in Bryson City, N.C., on Oct. 22, 1950, he was the son of the late Taylor Sherrill and Maude McLean. He worked for Parkdale as an electronic technician.

Mary Ann Stephan Williams, age 93 of Tiger, passed away on Nov. 22, 2021. Mary Ann was born on Nov. 18, 1928, in Oberlin, Ohio, the daughter of the late Louis B. Stephan and the late Dorothy Fuller Stephan.

Lewis Ervin Free II

Lewis Ervin Free II, age 74 of Tiger, passed away on Nov. 21, 2021, due to complications from COVID-19. Ervin enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish and to camp. He always enjoyed driving out west exploring. He played football for Rabun County High School.

Edith Jiles Webb Gipson

Edith Jiles Webb Gipson, 81, of Lakemont, took her Heavenly flight home on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at her residence. Born in Clayton, on Aug. 26, 1940, she was the daughter of Hiram Willie & Lola Emory Jiles. Edith was of the Baptist faith and attended Joy Baptist Church, Lakemont.
