Robert Clark Moore, Jr.

Robert Clark Moore, Jr., age 85, of Lake Burton, Clarkesville, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born the son of the late Robert Clark Moore, Sr. and the late Caroline Thomas Moore on Dec. 25, 1936. He was a member of the Christian faith.

Earle B. Whitmire

Earle B. Whitmire, 48, of Persimmon Road, died Jan. 27, 2022, at Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton. He was born in Clayton on Jan. 6, 1974, to Buddy Whitmire and the late Deliah Marcus Whitmire. He was a self-employed farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

Maria Little

Maria Little, 63, of Tiger, passed away at home on Jan. 25, 2022. She set out with her cat on her lap, her dog at her feet, and the love of her life by her side. Maria was a devoted reader, writer, thinker, Christian, countryman, tempest, and nurturer.

Dover “Beadie” Welch

Sarah Catherine Griffin Suttles

Sarah Catherine Griffin Suttles passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 22, 2022. Sarah was born in Hahira on July 13, 1937, to William Howard and Carrie Mae Kelly Griffin. She was the fourth of five children. Sarah attended South Georgia State College in Douglas, Ga., from 1955 to 1956.

Dolli LaDuke

Dolli LaDuke, 76, of Western Way Rabun Gap, Ga., died Jan. 13, 2022, at her residence. Born Sept. 20, 1946, to the late Reginald LaDuke and Claire Pratt LaDuke, she was a Certificated Nursing Assistant for Regency Hospice and was of the Baptist Faith.

Robert Eugene Segars

Robert Eugene Segars, 56, of Clayton died Thursday Jan. 20, 2022, at his residence. Born in Stephens County, Sept. 18, 1965, he was the son of Brenda Sue Blackwell and the late Grady Segars. He worked for Ingles Supermarket and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Alma Jane Newlon

Alma Jane Newlon, 78, of Clayton, died Thursday Jan. 20, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Born Feb. 5, 1943, in Timmonsville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William M. Young and Sue E. Powers Young. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.

Roger Ramey

Roger Earl Ramey, 75, of Carin Lane in Lakemont, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at his residence. Born in Lakemont on Sept. 6, 1946, he was the son of the late Hugh William Ramey and Pauline Hollifield Ramey. Roger spent his life in Rabun County, where he worked as a self-employed painter.

John Bailey Singer

John Bailey Singer, age 24, of Clayton, passed away on Jan. 10, 2022. John was a 2015 graduate of Rabun County High School, and served in the United States Marine Corps. A funeral service was held on Saturday Jan.
