Martha Grist Neville of Rabun Gap was promoted to the Church Triumphant April 27, 2020 in her home with family by her side. She was born on June 14, 1931 to the late Lester and Fannie Gillespie Grist.

Kendall “Chase” Bowen

Kendall “Chase” Bowen passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the age of 27.  Chase is the grandson of the late Paul and Dora Sellers and the late Evelyn Jiles Bowen.  He is survived by his parents George and Ruth Bowen of Fair Play, S.C. and sister Cassi Bowen of Greenville, S.C.

Albert A. Thrasher, Jr.

Albert A. Thrasher, Jr., 81, passed away May 11, 2020, in the Northeast Georgia Hospital after several months of failing health. He was the son of the late Albert A. Thrasher, Sr. and Lorraine Dodson Thrasher.  His sister, Carmie T. Cochrane, and brother, Roy C. Thrasher, predeceased him.

Eleanor Holland

Eleanor Holland, 89, passed away on May 9, 2020 in Kennesaw, Ga.  A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 2 p.m. in Striffler-Hamby’s Edgewood Hall. Burial was in Parkhill Cemetery.

Noah Lee Owens

Noah Lee Owens, age 14, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on May 2, 2020.  Noah was born the son of Bennie Lee Owens Jr. and Jeanna Michelle Winchester Owens on March 29, 2006. Noah was a resident of Rabun County for his entire life.

Martha Frances Moore Dickerson

Martha Frances Moore Dickerson, 89, beloved wife of Neal Lafayett Dickerson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10, 2020. Martha attended Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga. and later obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Western Carolina University.

Judith Ann Newman Bryant

Judith Ann Newman Bryant, 84 of Tiger, Ga., entered into Heavens Gates on Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2020.  Judith was the first born of seven children to the late Ned and Mabel Newman of Hawkinsville Ga.

Terrial Lee Freeman Ahern

Terrial Lee Freeman Ahern, “Terri,” graduated to the Church Triumphant May 1, 2020. Terri was a special child of God and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister.

Evelyn O. Westbrook

Evelyn O. Westbrook went peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at CannonWood Retirement Village in Tiger, Ga.  She was born in Athens, Ga. on Jan. 5, 1923 to Cora Maguire Oldham and Elmer Caldwell Oldham.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. Westbrook, Jr.
