Wildcats put game away early in first shutout of the season

Lexington – Oglethorpe celebrated its senior night in a game the Wildcats essentially ended before halftime.  For the second week in a row the Wildcat’s offensive blitzkrieg set the tone fast and early by posting 28 first quarter points.

Two of the best offenses in the state to square off in region showdown

The Friday night matchup between the #5 ranked Rabun County Wildcats and the #7 ranked Union County Panthers in Hiawassee has been highly anticipated since the start of the season. Perhaps since the end of the regular season last year.

Tallulah Falls teams make school history

The personal satisfaction an athlete feels at the moment of success is superficial compared to the deeper contentment of recognizing legacy in the making.   Qualifying to the state cross country championships has been historically challenging, to say the least.

Twin Rivers Challenge raises over $80,000 for scholarships

Tallulah Falls volleyball celebrates seniors

Tallulah Falls’ varsity volleyball team defeated Providence Christian 3-1 on senior night, Oct. 8. Senior Lillie Free of Clarkesville played well for the Indians on both sides of the ball, with 15 digs, five aces and five kills, coach Matt Heyl said.

Rabun advances to program’s first semifinal

TIGER — Showing strong signs of a championship program, the Rabun County volleyball team is one win away from playing for its first state championship.

Tallulah Falls launches esports program

Competitive gaming in the form of electronic sports is coming to Tallulah Falls School as an official Georgia High School Association activity. TFS is starting with 25 student-players, meeting after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, playing League of Legends and Rocket League.

Stockton throws 6 TDs, Rabun clips Social Circle

TIGER — Social Circle couldn’t have asked for a better start against the undefeated Rabun County Wildcats. Logan Cross hit Amarion Russell with a screen pass on the game’s first play from scrimmage and Russell raced down the left sideline for a 73-yard touchdown.

PREP ROUNDUP: Rabun Gap boys fall in title match

SOCCER Rabun Gap: The Rabun Gap boys lost 3-0 to Wesleyan Christian Academy in the NCISAA Class 4A state championship in High Point, N.C., last Saturday. It was the Eagles’ first appearance in the state title match in program history.
