RGNS presents sports awards to fall athletes

Wildcats split pair in season home opener Monday

Tiger – Rabun County played host to the Walhalla Razorbacks Monday night in the first home games of the season. Ladycats 74 Walhalla 48 The Ladycats (3-0) rolled over the Razorbacks using their entire roster to craft the rout.

Rabun hands Bulldogs their worst loss of the season

TIGER –Now 12-0, the Wildcats advance to the state quarterfinals for the fifth time in five years after handing the Toombs County Bulldogs the worst loss of their season. The Wildcats advance after their decisive 34-14 victory in front of their home fans.

Rabun making long road trip to seek spot in championship

The Rabun County Wildcats (12-0) will face Bulldogs again for the second week in a row when they travel to play Thomasville (8-4) this Friday. The game marks the fifth time in five seasons the Wildcats have advanced to or beyond the state quarter finals.

Ladycats impressive in season opener

The Rabun County Ladycats basketball team opened the 2019-20 campaign on the road Saturday at John’s Creek High School against Northview High School. The Ladycats came away with a lopsided 68-14 victory against a 6A team that made it to the state final four the past two seasons.

8U team defeats Jackson County 33-12 to finish perfect unbeaten season

Toombs County brings 8-2 record to Rabun County

Wildcats will open playoffs against B.E.S.T. Academy Friday

TIGER-- The Wildcats are Region 8AA champions for the sixth consecutive season. During that span, the Wildcats have been undefeated in region play. For the third time in the past four seasons, the Wildcats bring a perfect regular season record into the state playoffs.
