Mountain Air Classic celebrates 25 years of wakeboarding competiton on Lake Burton

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Mountain Air Classic lived up to its name on Aug. 2 as overcast skies produced nature’s air conditioning with the divisions’ wakeboarders put on an aerobatic show on Lake Burton.

Gridiron Midnight Power

The Rabun County football team officially got preparations started for the 2025 season as the Wildcats held their first fully padded practice mere minutes into Monday, July 28, during the annual “Midnight Madness” in Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium in front of members of Wildcat Nation.

Tough to handle all the rodeo excitement

The Bar W Rodeo Company came to Tiger for another year of the Rabun Arena Rodeo on Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6. Based out of Hayesville, N.C., the Bar W Rodeo company had contestants from all over the Southeast compete in front of a packed arena off of Boggs Mountain Road.

Speed up to the challenge as Hall of Fame calls

Playing both offense and defense, kicking four extra points, kicking off, recording 22 tackles and never coming off the field is a career for many high school football players.

Guns a blazing at camp

GAINESVILLE – Former Rabun County record-setter and current Georgia Bulldog quarterback Gunner Stockton not only is getting ready to be the Dawgs’ signal caller but the Tiger resident also is getting to meet the fanbase first hand.

Rifle team places fifth at Nationals

The TFS precision rifle team placed fifth at the 3-Position National Championship match earlier this week. Tallulah Falls’ group consisted of Chloe Erwin, Mitchell McGahee, Leah Rogers and Faith Stout.

Dixon elevates into Hall of Fame
