While a celebratory aura filled the air at Zavala Family Stadium when Rabun Gap knocked off the Christ School 56-17 on Nov. 10 in the NCISAA semifinal game, the emotions were subdued.

The No. 1 Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team began its path to the NCISAA state championship with a first-round victory over No. 8 Ravenscroft last Friday, Nov. 3, as the Eagles sent the Ravens back to Raleigh with a 55-6 loss that ended their season.
