TFS beats two ranked opponents, winning Bronze Division championship

The Tallulah Falls Lady Indians faced tough competition in a Tennessee tournament before coming back to Georgia to collect a Monday win. TFS (23-13) went unbeaten on the second day of the Rocky Top Invitational in Tennessee on Sept. 9, winning five matches to claim the Bronze Division Championship.
The entire team membership of the 1982 cross country team included Tracy Watts, Kelly Shropshire, Gigi Beck, Tara Dixon, Suzanne Beck, Caroline West, Von Taylor, Perri McCraw, Chrystal King, Kim Whitaker, Tracy Gragg, Ann Reeves, Robin Sprague, Cindy Keener, Valarie Florence and coach Gail Crowe. Submitted.

The Tallulah Falls School cross country team hosted its 19th annual Cookies ‘n Quotes Invitational Sept. 5 at The Farm Course in Tallulah Falls. The course played host to 18 total middle and high school varsity teams.

Lady Cats score 15 runs against BASA after two-game slide

The Rabun County softball team defeated Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy 15-3 in Sept. 7’s region matchup against the Blazers.  This win comes just a week after the Lady Cats fell to region opponent Commerce and Hart County. In those games, RCHS was outscored 31-5.

RGNS soccer continues to impress with new head coach

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee boys soccer team has continued its run of excellence that started back in 2021 with the Eagles’ first of two consecutive NCISAA state championships.  Two state titles later, RGNS is not only one of the best soccer teams in NCISAA, but one of the best in the country.

The Rabun County football team returned to its normal schedule of training on Monday to prepare for its non-region matchup against Heard County Friday evening.  The Wildcats are coming off of a bye week where they didn’t see the field as much. However, it’s a new week in Tiger, Ga.

Eagles 'White Out' Greenies 42-21

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team defeated the Christ School Greenies 42-21 last Friday night in its first league game of the 2023 season.  According to Rabun Gap head coach Derek White, this is the first time that the Eagles have started a season 4-0.

Rabun County recreation cross country sets new PR's

The Rabun County Recreational Department cross country team traveled to Athens Christian last weekend where it competed in a meet that included 18 teams.  According to Head Coach Ed Eidson, each runner set a new personal best.
