Jones, Wall lead way for RCHS XC at Harrier Harvest

TALLULAH FALLS – Led by sophomores Kinley Jones and Andrew Wall, the Rabun County boys and girls cross country teams finished in sixth place, respectively, at Thursday’s Harrier Harvest meet, hosted by Tallulah Falls School (TFS).

Strong first half lifts Stockton, Georgia over Oklahoma in Athens

Powered by a dominant first half, the No. 2-ranked Georgia football team defeated Oklahoma 41-13 on Saturday. It was the second-ever meeting between the two teams, but had drastic differences from the classic 2018 Rose Bowl, where the two programs played for the first time.

RCHS football looking to get back on track versus Banks County

Following consecutive losses, the Rabun County football team is looking to get back on track on the road on Friday against a familiar opponent, Banks County. The meeting between Wildcats and the Leopards will be the 35th all-time between the two programs.

No. 2 Georgia rolls past Arkansas to open SEC play

The No. 2 ranked Georgia football team handedly defeated Arkansas on the road on Saturday 45-17 to begin Southeastern Conference (SEC) play. The Bulldogs, powered by their rushing attack, jumped out to a 21-3 halftime lead following touchdown runs by running backs Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens.

Rabun falls to Walnut Grove for first loss of season

LOGANVILLE – The Rabun County football team took its first loss of the season on Friday, Sept. 11, at the hands of Class 6A opponent Walnut Grove, 17-3, on the road. The Wildcats now sit at 2-1 on the young season.
