Missing Dillard veteran located, remembered as ‘an overall wonderful man’

A Dillard Air Force veteran who was reported missing by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office and last seen March 28 was located at Kelly’s Creek Park and no foul play is expected.
Michael Banks Henderson, Jr., 29 of Dillard, passed away on April 3, 2024.

Rabun County took advantage of the solar eclipse Monday as a shadow was cast over parts of the United States.
From Texas to Maine and several states and cities in between, a total eclipse was seen.
