Lake Rabun Foundation announces its 2024 scholarship students

The Lake Rabun Foundation Scholarship Program recipients were honored at the Lake Rabun Association’s annual Memorial Day meeting on Sunday, May 26. Students were introduced to the membership and recognized at the Lake Rabun Pavilion.

Throughout the county, droplets of rain were falling or were expected to be released from the clouds soon. However, on this day, at this time, a gap was opened in the weather patterns, creating one lasting moment in the sun for a spirited Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School Class of 2024.

Tallulah Falls School graduates new group of future leaders

They walked out two by two to a smiling throng of parents, friends, teachers and well wishers. Tallulah Falls School’s Class of 2024 accumulated nearly $8 million in scholarships, and now it was time for them to enjoy the final fruits of their high school labors.

A crash involving a Dodge Charger and two motorcycles on Ga. 15 (Highway 441) at the Clayton Walmart intersection May 22 blocked the roadway for about two hours. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to Ga. 15 at the Clayton Walmart intersection around 9:30 a.m.
